Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal information SAVOY collects, why, who we share it with and the rights you have under Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada’s PIPEDA.
2. What we collect
When you book: your name, email, phone number, the address of the treatment, the people receiving it and your preferences.
Health information you choose to give us: medical conditions, allergies and notes for the therapist.
When you contact us or apply for a job: your message, or your application and CV.
When you browse: technical data such as your IP address and the cookies needed for the site to work (session and security). We do not use advertising cookies.
3. Why we use it
To take and manage your booking, send you confirmations and reminders, find a therapist and check that your address is in our service area, take payment, answer your questions, review job applications, and meet our legal and accounting duties.
We only send you marketing if you have agreed to it, and you can stop at any time.
4. Health information
Health information is sensitive. We collect it only with your express consent, given when you book, and use it only to give you a safe treatment. Only the therapist assigned to your booking and the SAVOY staff who manage it can see it. It is never sent to calendars, payment providers or marketing tools.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share only what is needed with:
- the therapist who gives your treatment;
- Stripe, to process card payments;
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim), to locate your address on the map;
- Google Calendar, when a therapist links their calendar: the service, your name, phone, address and time (never health information);
- our hosting and email providers.
Some of these providers may store information outside Québec. Before doing so we assess the risks and require them to protect it to the same standard.
6. How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records as long as tax law requires (usually 6 years), then delete or anonymise them. Unfinished bookings, contact messages and job applications are deleted when they are no longer needed.
7. How we protect it
Your information is stored on secured servers, sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and available only to people who need it for their work. If a confidentiality incident could cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Commission d’accès à l’information.
8. Your rights
You can ask to see your information, correct it, withdraw your consent, have it deleted or stop its use, by writing to info@savoymassage.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will show the date of the latest version at the top of this page and tell you by email about any important change.
